Door order sizes are acceptable in both imperial and metric measurements. Atlantic Doors manufactures its products to a tolerance of 1/32 inch.

Flat Panel Doors

Regular flat panel doors are manufactured with 1/4 inch plywood. Some door designs (i.e. V Groove Panel Shaker) are made with 3/8 inch thick hard wood center panel.

Wood Grading

Our doors are produced using premium quality woods, kiln dried to 6%-8% moisture content, stress relieved and equalized.

We manufacture all of our products with selected woods, carefully matched to arrive at a pleasing blend of grain and color except paint grade orders.

Warpage

Please avoid large humidity variations to ensure the product's stability because wood requires a stable environment and proper humidity control.

Allowable warpage for doors less than 26 inches wide and less than 36 inches high is 1/8 inch.

For doors wider or higher, 3/16 inch of warpage is allowable. We do not recommend doors higher than 48" with a single panel. Doors higher than 50” are made with double panels unless specified otherwise.

Storage & Handling

Unfinished doors should always be stored flat in clean and dry place that is protected from dirt, water, and excessive hot and cold temperature.

Doors should be handled with care when lifting to avoid any damage done by dropping or dragging across one another.
